If you’ve been dreaming of a luxury cottage getaway, we may have found the perfect fit for you. Oh, and it’s in wine country. That never hurts. Surrounded by rolling grapevines and picturesque farmland, Carneros Resort and Spa is home to 100 cottages, suites, and residences and provides a luxurious getaway in the heart of Napa Valley.  Each of the resort’s cottages has 400 square-feet of living space and up to 800 square feet of outdoor living space, depending on your selected accommodation. The cottages are equipped with various amenities and design features, including fireplaces, indoor/outdoor showers, individual hot tubs and French doors leading to landscaped gardens. Inside, the cottages feature modernized furnishings and lighter color palettes to match the property’s sun-washed, farm-style architecture. One- and two-bedroom cottage suites are available and offer an even larger amount of space for guests to enjoy. If you want to go big, go for the one that has 1,200 square-feet of indoor living space. I doubt you’ll be coming here to do much cooking, but it is always good to know that  the two-bedroom suites also offer a full-service kitchen and living room space.We have other plans, but the space is nice to have at our disposal.

The 28-acre property has three restaurants, including FARM at Carneros, the property’s signature restaurant committed to elegant, full-flavored dishes based on the natural abundance of the Wine Country.  Earlier this year, Executive Chef Aaron Meneghelli redesigned the five-course tasting menu at FARM to now incorporate one specific, seasonal ingredient in each of the five components of the menu. Guests enjoy an intimate candlelit dinner alfresco on the patio or can opt to sit indoors and cozy up near the fireplace. Depending on the time of year, you cannot go wrong with either choice.

Families are always welcome, but for adults looking for some tranquility, they can enjoy the adult-only Hilltop Pool surrounded by unprecedented, panoramic views of the Napa Valley countryside. Guests can relax in an infinity-edged hot tub, turquoise pool and cozy cabanas. Think sunsets, sunrises, and sunny days. We like the sound of all three. If that sounds like too much lazing around, maybe offset a weekend of wine and foodie indulgences with a wellness retreat, including healthy meals, group yoga classes, meditation and more. They have you covered here, from one indulgence to the next. The resort also has a full-service spa that recently reopened after a multi-million dollar renovation this year.
