The Palm Court looks out on the lagoon pool and is the place to indulge in an afternoon tea crafted by pastry chef Johann Vanier, whose chocolate tart once tasted will never be forgotten. T’ang Court won the Australian Good Food Guide Chef Hat for 2023 for its sophisticated Cantonese menu; and at Akoya you can taste the very best of Queensland’s local produce in a laid back setting. The eight plates set menu is perfect for sharing and includes fresh Pacific oysters, Rocky Point black kingfish crudo, and smoked Gooralie pork jowl with toasted buckwheat and Capricorn spiced rum. The pina colada-inspired pavlova is the perfect way to finish off your meal.
The Langham’s wellness offering rivals its culinary pleasures, and the hotel has a signature sleep program, “Sleep Matters by Chuan”, with curated treatments and amenities. The two swimming pools are open until 10pm should you want a late evening dip, and yoga, pilates and meditation sessions take place in the Health Club. The icing on the cake, however, is the Chuan Spa, where therapists are guided by principles of traditional Chinese medicine.
