The classic façade of this hotel blends in with the surrounding city center  ust outside the walled city is a fantastic option for those seeking a more modern take on what Colombia has to offer up on this side of town. Featuring modern accommodations with high ceilings and large windows that give you fantastic views of the water, if you happen to be on that side of the hotel.  Regardless of which way your room is facing, take the elevator to the rooftop pool and get a bird’s-eye view of what Cartagena has to offer.  

From the infinity pool, cocktail in hand, you’ll see the high-rises of Bocagrande, just across the water and spy the clock tower entrance to the colonial walled city that is home to historical districts El Centro and San Diego; only five minutes away yet a world apart.  Their Red Knife restaurant is a great choice for lunch or dinner, but our favorite place to hang out is the pool. 

Day or night, you’re bound to have a great time at this hotel. This should be very obvious, but…Hotel Chocolat lives by its name and every evening at turndown, fresh chocolate balls are left in your room and they are almost as delectable as the one you receive at check-in.
